Our sponsored Hearing Dogs for Deaf People puppy, Bertie.

Bertie is a black Cocker Spaniel – one of the breeds commonly used by the Charity as they respond well to the particular demands of life as a hearing dog.
Last year Bertie moved to live with his socialiser, Gloria who lives in Cornwall. He thoroughly enjoyed exploring his new home, particularly walking in the country parks, beaches and towns. Bertie and his socialiser took the opportunity to meet other dogs on their walks, so that they could work on his behaviour when interacting with other animals, and this work has paid off!
What’s next for Bertie?
Bertie has recently completed his training and progressed immensely over the last year. After building on his interaction skills as well as building on his obedience, Bertie is now ready to make a profound impact on the life of someone living with a hearing disability.
We are extremely proud of Bertie’s progress and look forward to hearing how he is getting on in his new home, with his new owner. Good Luck Bertie!
